Message From the President

Hello everyone, well if your reading this then you found the new website. The address is www.slvsnow.com if you want to bookmark it.

I just want to update everyone on what the Salt Lake Valley Club has been doing so far this year. We had our 1st ride of the season on Jan. 8th. We had 16 riders that day and we were lead by Dean Hopkins and he got us all back to the parking lot safely. It was a really good ride for our 1st ride. Thanks Dean for the great ride.

On the 11th we had our club meeting and we had Grant Helgeson from the Utah Avalanche Center come and put on a presentation about avalanches and avalanche safety. He did a really great job and I want to thank him for his time. You just cant stress avalanche safety enough.

Jan. 22nd we had our 2nd club ride and we went to Soapstone. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest we did have a great time. We had 14 riders that day and I want to thank Reggie Hyde and Kim Chandler for getting us to and from the parking lot safely that day. We had plenty of new snow to play in that day.

Our next ride will be Feb. 5th at Monte Crisco. we will be leaving the parking lot at 9:30. See you there. Also I want to remind everyone about our overnight ride to Ruby's Inn over President's Day weekend. If you haven't made your reservation yet it's not to late. Just remember to use the discount code I sent out earlier. If you need it again just let me know and I will get it to you, or if you just want to call them be sure to tell them your with the Salt Lake Valley Club and they will give you the discount. The cost of the rooms are $50.00 plus tax per night. This is their Snow Fest weekend and they always have plenty of activities to do for those family members who don't want to ride. (check out their website) This is always a fun trip.

Lastly I want to welcome two new members to the club. They are Eric Schreiber and Les Thompson. They both rode with us on our last ride and they both said they had a blast. We want to give them a big welcome and want to make them feel like part of the family. Welcome guys.

Thanks for all your support
