Message From the President

Well here it is mid January and theres still not enough snow to go riding. What is happening this year?  Is it because of the new sled accessories I bought at the Snow Show to put on my sled that I am just dying to try out?
We had our annual Christmas party in December with lots of good food and fun games. The white elephant exchange is always a fun and exciting adventure. Who would of guessed that a large ceramic fish was the gift that everyone wanted. Congratulations to Dave Fitzgerald for hanging onto it. It was a good time for everyone to get together and find out what everyone has been doing and to catch up on old times. It was a great success with a good turn out. I want to thank Marcia Hyde and Karin Chandler for all the time and effort they put in to make this a success.
Every year our club does a charity event to help out a person or family that needs a little extra. This year we chose the family of 4 year old Ben Steinfeldt of Sterling Utah. Ben lost part of one of his legs in a tragic lawnmower accident last summer. The Salt Lake Valley Snowmobile Club donated $200.00 to help the Steinfeldt family with their medical cost. We hope the best for Ben and his family.
Do to the lack of snow so far this year we had to cancel our club ride that was planned for Jan. 7th and the one for the 21st doesn't look to promising either. Lets hope that February is a better month.
Our club bought a fin banner flag with our club name and website printed on it that we plan on displaying on our rides and other events that our club participates at. We hope that this helps to let other riders know about our club and they can check us out. Talking about rides, anyone is welcome to come and ride with us on any of our rides anytime you want. So until we see you on the trail let's pray for snow.
